my dear Lili!

I must give you on behalf of myself, Sasha and Kolya 210 silver rubles. "Vakula" has been on twice. I heard that the takings weren't complete, but all the same I hope to be in receipt of 250 rubles. Now this is what my request involves. With this letter I'm enclosing a letter of authorization addressed to I. I. Jurgenson. Let Tolya bring this authorization to Kondratyev, whose address I have forgotten, but it should be very easy to find. Kondratyev will attest my signature, and then the authorization should be delivered to Jurgenson, who has promised to receive the money on my behalf. That way we'll be quits. Then I ask Tolya to go to Malya and tell her that Sasha has instructed me to give her 60 rubles. I've already spent this money, but Ill have it by around the 1st. On Saturday you'll find out whether "Vakula" has been on one more time. If so, then it will be necessary to wait until the end of the month, if not, then the money is due for two performances.

Are you well, my Angel, and how is my dear kind Papochka feeling? Tell him that I kiss and kiss his hands hard.

I hug you tenderly.
