Ostend (Oostende) is a Belgian port and city in the Flemish province of West Flanders.
Tchaikovsky in Ostend
Tchaikovsky stayed at Ostend from around 22 July/3 August to 26 July/7 August 1861, as part of his first journey outside Russia, travelling as assistant to a colleague of his father, Vasily Pisarev.
He also passed through Ostend on 17/29 May 1893 on his way to London [1]
