20 November You write that you're sending me pages from the full score of "Onegin" for correction [1]. However, I have not received these pages. Perhaps they will come tomorrow? Incidentally, answer me 2 words to the question: did Pollini receive his full score of "Onegin" in time?[2] I've heard nothing about this for some reason. You ask what the "mise en scène" is. This is a detailed description of what every cast member and even every choir member does during the course of the piece. Anyway, on receiving Paleček's work from Prague you'll see what I mean. Thank you for forwarding "Cherevichki". Incidentally, would it be a bad thing to publish the dances from the same opera in full score? I'm proud of these, just as I am with the whole opera in general. Just wait and it will pick up at some point. I hug you. P. Tchaikovsky |
