Great-great grandfather of the composer (b. 1721; d. March 1757 in Saint Petersburg), born Dmitry Yakovlevich Rykovsky (Дмитрий Яковлевич Рыковский).

Dmitry was the son of the priest Yakov Rykovsky. In 1744, he graduated from the Aleksandr Nevsky Seminary in Saint Petersburg, where he then served as Deacon, then Priest (from 1747) and later Steward of Petropavlovsk Cathedral.

He married Yevfimiya Iosifovich (b. 1727), and they had at least two children: Yakov (b. circa 1747); and Anna (b. circa 1752), great-grandmother of the composer.
