Vera Rimskaya-Korsakova (1863-1888)

Niece of the composer (b. 16/28 March 1863 in Kamenka; d. 7/19 November 1888 in Nice), born Vera Lvovna Davydova (Вера Львовна Давыдова); known after her marriage as Vera Lvovna Rimskaya-Korsakova (Вера Львовна Римская-Корсакова).

Vera was the second daughter of the composer's sister Aleksandra (b. Tchaikovskaya, 1842–1891) and her husband Lev Davydov (1837–1896).

In November 1881 she married Nikolay Aleksandrovich Rimsky-Korsakov (1852–1908) [a cousin to the composer Nikolay Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov], and they had two children — Irina and Aleksandra.

After her death in 1888, her widower Nikolay subsequently married Vera's sister, Natalya (1868–1956).
