Nikolay Khristoforov

Russian cellist and civil servant (b. 1836; d. 1891), born as Nikolay Osipovich Khristoforov (Николай Осипович Христофоров).

Khristoforov was a cellist in the Imperial Opera Orchestras in Saint Petersburg from 1856 until 1860, rising to become director of the central music library of the Imperial Theatres from 1877.
