Dear Pavel Mikhaylovich!
I've learned that Boguslav [2] is leaving the kapellmeister position at the Maly Theatre. For God's sake keep A. F. Arends in mind for this position. He would be highly suitable for this [3]. I am on my way to Hamburg and barely have time to write you these lines. Your sincerely devoted and affectionate, P. Tchaikovsky |
